Ok, so I probably shouldn’t have done a video just after waking up when it was already 32C outside and humid and my nose is stuffed up something fierce after spending yesterday outside most of the day for my 6th wedding anniversary… but I did. I sound like I alternate between total space cadet and super snooty snob girl – I promise you I am neither!!

  • YAY for another Cat vlog 🙂 All you books look great – Forgotten looks super fun. I am quite jealous you got Once Ever Never! I can’t buy it yet, but I think I’m just gonna order it from Amazon Canada soon 😀 Enjoy all your books.

and happy late anniversary !! 🙂

    • Cat

I would offer to pick it up and ship it to you, but I think it might actually be cheaper for you to order it yourself. Postage here is INSANE! I think it’s going to cost way more than the book just to ship to the UK. But Jenny has returned the favour more than once. I wish we all had awesome US postage prices.

  • You are far too cheery to be a snooty snog girl, so I think you’re safe from being thought that. 😉

Okay those Gail Carriger books have been on my peripheral for a while and I’d forgotten about them until I really got into my Goodreads account and then I was like OH YEAH. And then I read on the author’s page they were parody and I was….perplexed I suppose. But my interest was piqued and I went to my local library which actually had the first one which is a miracle of the highest order let me tell you.
I am LOVING it. Hilariously delicious and even though I’m not quite halfway through I’m itching to ge get my hands on the next.

I don’t know, Molly, I watched this video before uploading it and was all “Ugh, I sound so pretentious!”. The heat and allergies make me snooty (snotty? ;))

Yay I made you a Gail Carriger convert!

  • I have a copy of Forgotten, I need to read that one soon! Hex Hall is another one, waiting patiently for me. Happy anniversary!

    • Cat

I think you might have confused Hex Hall and Hexbound. 😉 So many Hexes! Both are awesome series though. I love my UK Forgotten. *hugs*

  • The Jewel of the Kalderash sounds interesting! I googled it, and its the third book in a series? The premise sounds like something I would enjoy.

    • Cat

Yep, it’s a 3rd book. The first book is called The Cabinet of Wonders. It’s a MG series and very wonderfully written.

  • You have a nice list of book that you received in your mailbox this week.
    Happy Reading,

  • This vlog is awesome for many, many reasons. I want to meet you and give you a big hug

  • I was very happy about the end of the Canada Post strike!!

    • Cat

Is it sad that I was more happy to get my bills in hard copy than I was about potential book mail? I am so on top of my bill payments but I like to write down confirmations and dates ON the bill when I pay it. Not having them freaked me out! I am a loser. ha!

  • I hear Forgotten by Cat Patrick is going to be a great YA book. Looking forward to your review.

    • Cat

I picked up both Forgotten and Blood Magic last night, not knowing which one to read. I chose Blood Magic first, so I think Forgotten will be right after!
