2012 Debut Author Challenge (YA/MG)

The DAC is pretty much the only challenge I start and seem to finish. I have made a rule that I won't join any other challenges except this one (only to break that rule when Shannon @ Chick Loves Lit announced the Sophomore Reading Challenge). Kristi @ The Story Siren hosts the DAC every year. This year there are some changes (which you can read about right here) and she's got some lovely people helping her out (my guess is so she doesn't spontaneously combust from all the stress of keeping her blog running).I'll even be hosting one of the 12 mini-challenges that will happen over the course of 2012. I have no idea what that will be yet, but that won't stop me! ;) (I did say I don't do nudity, so someone else will have to take that one for the team.)As of the writing of this post, I have read 23 Debut Author books in 2011. Of the original 13 I listed when I started the challenge, I didn't get to five of those. (Mostly because I couldn't find them in store, and didn't have the money to order online.) There is still a month and a half to go until the end of the year, so I might get some more in for that challenge. Here are the titles I am hoping to read for the 2012 DAC!(Sorted alphabetically. Links to go Goodreads page. When read a link to the review will be posted next to the title.)

(anything added after 15 will be done ad-hoc as the year goes by)If I study this list I learn a few things:1) I seem to be automatically drawn to a book that comes out in January or February.2) There will be 2 series that start in 2012 called "Elemental" I guess I like that.3) I guess I like books with "Fracture" in the title.4) And authors whose names are Marissa5) I didn't pick anything that pubs after the spring! Obviously those will come after I made this list. All I did was look at THIS list and pick books by gut feeling. I find this very amusing. What are you waiting for? Go sign up for this challenge, right now! (open until May 31, 2012)
