Blue is for Nightmares
Blue is for Nightmaresby Laurie Faria StolarzSadly, I did not like this book very much. I found this very disappointing as I was hoping very much to love it to bits and pieces and then go right on and read the second, third and fourth books. That's not going to happen though and I have already removed those other books from my wishlist. How sad.So, Stacey is a witch and she has this best friend/roommate Drea who she's been having nightmares about. In these nightmares, Stacey tries to save her friend from being killed and having had premonition-type dreams before she's determined to keep Drea safe and stop the murderer.I wasn't even going to finish the book, since I had two more books to read. But I was determined to finish this book for a few reasons a) I have to read all the books I have bought before I buy any more and b) I was really hoping it would get better and c) I needed to know who the stalker-slash-murderer was. Heh.Generally I like stories set in boarding schools or private schools. Something about those settings just asks for bad new kids. ;) But this book just tried too hard and I can't possibly think about going through that again three more times (though the book titles and covers are awesome and would make a lovely addition to my bookshelves, though I don't care about the stories.)I sort of feel bad about not liking the book, but what can I do. I didn't like the characters or the plot. The writing itself was just fine and the dialogue didn't suck, but I just didn't find anyone likable.
