Finnish Lapphund Friday
Ok, so here's the deal. There's Cat Thursday out there, which I don't really pay attention to (sorry, folks) and Melanie of The Reclusive Bibliophile started up Weimaraner Wednesday to sort of go along with that. Now, dog-related posts I will read because I'm a big dog sap. I jokingly said to Melanie on Twitter that I should do a Finnish Lapphund Friday post and she said "YES!" Flash forward to today and here's my Finnish Lapphund Friday post. This is NOT something I plan on doing regularly at all (mostly because it involves, well, planning) but I am doing at least one. I like to keep this blog as book-related as possible since I have a personal blog and all. But I did mention a few times how we just got ourselves a new pup and I have had some people ask to see photos. As you may recall, my Annabelly passed away in February. Her loss still has a huge impact on our home, but a good friend of mine, who happens to be the breeder I have adopted Annie and was gifted Jinx (as a wedding gift!) from, wanted to know if we'd like t to be the forever home for a just turned 1-year old Lappie that she had. We thought about it long and hard and finally decided that we did need a new soul in the house. So, we drove 12 hours to Michigan, I suffered from the worst food poisoning ever and we came home with Sophie. Here are some photos of both Jinx and Sophie since then (it is VERY hard to get a non-blurry photo, I tell you!)
Jinx happy to be home from Michigan.
Sophie sharing the couch with Jinx. As you can see, he's really thrilled about it.
Playing with my husband on the deck. He was pantomiming fisticuffs at them.
Sophie telling Shawn what she thought of said fisticuff pantomime.
Silly Sophie.
