Happy Birthday to the Magnificent Melissa Walker!

The always lovely, and extremely elegant author Melissa Walker is having a birthday today! You may know her as the author of the Violet books. Or, you may know her as the author of Lovestruck Summer. Either way, she's a fantastic writer and just a wonderful person IN person.When I went down to NYC for BEA I was able to finally get that in-person meeting. I know Melissa as the first author who ever commented on my blog. I remember being so excited about that and then realizing this meant that maybe I might have other readers out there other than myself and a handful of friends and family.The only problem I have ever had with Melissa is the fact that at a year younger than I am, she's way more accomplished. Makes me feel a little depressed about my life. Darn her! (HA!) I'll also never achieve that elegant 1920s type look and style that seems to come so easily to her (have you ever seen her wedding photos? My gods! They are like a movie scene. So glamourous!)Happy birthday to a wonderful new friend over the last 3 years, I am happy the internet allowed me to discover you, the person, after the bookstores allowed me to discover you the author and your books.I know Finnegan is already a huge fan of yours. Maybe has a little crush as well. ;)I urge everyone to head on over to Melissa's blog and wish her a happiest of birthdays! She truly is a lovely person and deserves all the attention she can get today!And I'll let you know that 33 wasn't so bad. I made it through unscathed, more or less. So far my 30s have made me a happier person. I'm embracing ever year and I hope you do too! *hugs** NOTE - So I prescheduled this to post June 4 at 11:11.. only some how I managed to goof on the year and had it scheduled for 2011 as well and not 2010. So it never showed up! Oops... so Friday, June 4 was Melissa's birthday!
