In My Mailbox #15

The Story Siren hosts this feature and I end up adding a ton of books to my wishlist every week.

All my IMM posts can be found here!

This week it's sort of an Out of My Pocket meets In My Mailbox post. The three books I got in the mail were bought on Amazon.com a month ago. Gotta love pre-orders! The reason I did the pre-order thing was because I had to get my US version of the final Harry Potter book to complete my collection! I dislike the Canadian covers, so I have been getting the US ones since the first book came out.

Is it sad that I use my piano more for photos of my books than practice?

Is it sad that I use my piano more often for book photography than I do for practise? O_o

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows (Book 7)by J.K. Rowling

Harry has been burdened with a dark, dangerous and seemingly impossible task: that of locating and destroying Voldemort’s remaining Horcruxes. Never has Harry felt so alone, or faced a future so full of shadows. But Harry must somehow find within himself the strength to complete the task he has been given. He must leave the warmth, safety and companionship of The Burrow and follow without fear or hesitation the inexorable path laid out for him...

Hurrah for my completed collection!Shadowed Summerby Saundra Mitchell

Iris is ready for another hot, routine summer in her small Louisiana town, hanging around the Red Stripe grocery with her best friend, Collette, and traipsing through the cemetery telling each other spooky stories and pretending to cast spells. Except this summer, Iris doesn’t have to make up a story. This summer, one falls right in her lap.Years ago, before Iris was born, a local boy named Elijah Landry disappeared. All that remained of him were whispers and hushed gossip in the church pews. Until this summer. A ghost begins to haunt Iris, and she’s certain it’s the ghost of Elijah. What really happened to him? And why, of all people, has he chosen Iris to come back to?

I bought this from amazon.com as well since no one here seemed to have it in stock. And I have wanted it since I read reviews on blogs MONTHS ago. Sure, I could order it online but it was a 2-3 week wait AND it was still cheaper to buy the hardcover in US funds (even with conversion!!) and just wait to have it shipped with my two pre-orders. Book prices in Canada SUCK ROCKS.Just sayin'.My most prized purchase from amazon:Eyes Like Starsby Lisa Mantchev

All her world's a stage. Bertie Shakespeare Smith is not an actress, yet she lives in a theater. She's not an orphan, but she has no parents. She knows every part, but she has no lines of her own. That is, until now. Enter Stage Right NATE. Dashing pirate. Will do anything to protect Bertie. COBWEB, MOTH, MUSTARD SEED, and PEASEBLOSSOM. Four tiny and incredibly annoying fairies. BERTIE'S sidekicks. ARIEL. Seductive air spirit and Bertie's weakness. The symbol of impending doom. BERTIE. Our heroine. Welcome to the Thtre Illuminata, where the actors of every play ever written can be found behind the curtain. They were born to play their parts, and are bound to the Thtre by The Book-an ancient and magical tome of scripts. Bertie is not one of them, but they are her family-and she is about to lose them all and the only home she has ever known.

I am going to start reading this right away! Only the cover is even more beautiful in real life that I am too nervous to open the book lest I break the spine! What to do? What to do!?
