Shameless Holiday Plug! - Go check out my other blog, Beyond Elsewhere, for my silly 12 Days of Christmas videos!

In My Mailbox is hosted by The Story Siren … and I end up adding a ton of books to my wishlist every week.

All my IMM posts can be found here!

My Book Depository orders have been trickling in one a week, which is actually really exciting for me because who doesn't love to see parcels in their mailbox? No one, I tell you! Even though that was the only book product to arrive in the mail I also got some other awesome things this week as well!Book The Thornthwaite Inheritanceby Gareth P. Jones

Ovid and Lorelli Thornthwaite have been trying to kill each other for so long that neither twin can remember which act of attempted murder came first. But whoever struck first, trying to take each other's lives is simply what they do. Until one day a lawyer arrives at their house to take stock of its contents, and his accompanying son attracts their attention. Soon a new battle evolves - one in which the twins have to work together to solve the mystery of their parents' deaths. Can Lorelli and Ovid overcome their old animosities, and will they ever get to finish that game of chess? (goodreads.com)

I first saw this book on, hmm, Books & Other Thoughts I think. I have wanted it since I saw it but it was never "in stock" on amazon and didn't even exist at Chapigo. So when I was preordering Book Depository books I checked for this one and the price was right and it was in stock! Can't wait to read it!Food!I was home sick on Monday and my husband soon joined me at home by lunch time. I think we ate something for dinner the night before that was spoiled. Luckily we were home because around four or so in the afternoon a UPS truck parked outside and delivered a box. A LARGE box. We opened it all curious since we had no idea what it was. This is what was in it:

It was a mystery box of FOOD! No clue who it was from, but it was fresh as anything, smelled delicious (almost all cinnamon stuff) and had we not been at home we would have missed UPS and had to drive out to the middle of nowhere to the warehouse likely on Thursday when they were open later than 4PM. The food would not of been fresh then! A status update on Facebook about our mystery packaged helped us learn from whom the food was from (a dear friend in California) AND that there was supposed to be a note included (there wasn't). I have already finished that tiny little thing of apple butter. I loved it. (Which is odd, because I dislike apple anything!)

GameNeopets Puzzle Adventure DSOn Wednesday we came home to two parcels on our snowy doorstep. One was from amazon (but my husband wouldn't let me see what it was! It's a Christmas gift!) and the other was from another friend in California who saw this game and thought of me so she sent it with her Christmas card! And do you think we could find the adaptor for the DS? Heck no! We have an adaptor for everything else in the world, but not the DS. Which is odd because I know my husband was playing some game on it last year. Oh, well. We tried to find a new adaptor at BestBuy this weekend, but ours is so old... we may have just ended up with a shiny new one. *cough* (In red!) *cough*It was a fun week for mail - I got more Christmas cards and I LOVE Christmas cards! And I got exciting fun and tasty things!
