In My Mailbox #8
Kristi (The Story Siren) and Alea (Pop Culture Junkie) started these weekly posts of awesome, and now many of us play along! I'm just thrilled if I get ONE book in my mailbox a month. These two could probably provide literature to the entire world just based on the contents of their mailboxes in a week. ;)I wasn't even expecting anything this week! Boy was I surprised when I came home on Thursday and saw a package in my mailbox. I had mistakenly hoped that my review copy of Fool by Christopher Moore had arrived. I have only been waiting for it since DECEMBER from LibraryThing. But, alas, no. It was something else! Loser's Townby Daniel Depp
David Spandau, former stuntman and sometime cowboy, makes his living as a private investigator. His current assignment is Hollywood "it" boy, Bobby Dye, who's been receiving threatening letters. Spandau figures out Bobby's facing another threat--one that could ruin his career just as it's getting started. Loser's Town is gritty noir fiction, but also a Hollywood-insider novel written by someone who knows the town and the industry intimately.(Description from Amazon.)
This is for review - thanks to Penguin Canada! Hurray for surprises in mailboxes!! (Also, Daniel Depp is apparently Johnny Depp's brother.)
