meh
My morning so far:5AM - can't sleep, throat to sore, stupid birds are having a party or something outside my bedroom window because they are making too much noise.6:30AM - huge CRASH outside and then more noises wakes me up. Get up to see what's going on and notice a huge 18-wheeler outside leaving a trailer of stuff across the street from us. I curse, which leads to coughing attack and get back into bed. Manage to fall asleep during backing up beeping noises.8AM - alarm goes off waking me from super strange dream, still can't swallow and my throat is killing me. Decide to heed the advice of my boss and stay home. Notice neighbour's recycling bin out at front of driveway and get confused as we just had recycling last Friday and...wait.. it's not Friday today. Also notice his bike out front with bin, perhaps the stuff across the street that woke me up at 6:30 is his?8:10AM - get downstairs to living room where Shawn is watching another truck with a trailer attached back into neighbour's driveway. A trailer with tar in it. Joy. Neighbour is having his roof redone which means that I can't go back up to bed to sleep of this cold with my window open because their ladder is right next to my window and their tar thing is right under it! Also? HAMMERING ON ROOF IS LOUD! Gah8:12AM - make pot of coffee, turn it on, only to turn it off few seconds later realizing that I forgot to put the COFFEE in the pot. Water and filters are fine, but who wants a pot of hot water in the end?8:30AM - fill up Shawn's travel mug with coffee and a little mug for me to drink while internetting (setting out of office on work email, etc). Open fridge, put coffee pot in fridge. Realize as I am closing the door, "this doesn't go here!"Ugh.As I am writing this though (8:48AM), I think the trailer right under my window is for the old roof stuff since they seem to be throwing things into it. So it's not tar! Woohoo! The noise I might be able to deal with, the tar smell? Not so much.So I am going to finish this tiny cup of coffee and read a book and then go back to bed and hopefully sleep.Last night I filled up the dogs' water bowl and then put it in the fridge, too. I also tried to put the juice container in the pantry. This cold is not only bothering me physically, I think it's infected my brain, too.
