Shawn's dad is out of town so we went over to visit his Mum last night after Shawn got home from work. We took our pups, because that's what we do, and Shawn's Mum was watching her niece's dog again. Nixie is a Standard Wire-Haired Dachshund and boy is she adorable (and LONG!).The first time we met her she and Jinx spent the entire time rolling all over each other. It was very cute, especially since by the end of the night Jinx was exhausted but kept trying to keep up with Nixie who is a year and a half younger than he is.And now for the plethora of dog photos!Letting them reunite outside so they don't destroy the house. We thought ahead this time, the first time, not so much.Giving up on Annie, who doesn't play and isn't sure what to make of Nixie. But it's a cute little action shot of her jumping off the steps!Everyone TUG! TUG! TUG!Whatcha doin'? Huh? Whatcha doin'? Can I come too? Is that a toy? Is that MY toy?! Hey! That's MINE!Lappies on both sides, but no one is paying attention to me. Is there food up there on the counter? Can I have some?Hey, what's that thing in your hands, is it a toy? Can I play with... *FLASH* AHHHHHHH!!!!Nixie likes to give kisses, to people, to dogs, it doesn't matter. That big thing in the corder is Jinx's tongue, he was so tired!Annie thought perhaps she might take refuge on the big doggy bed, but that's Nixie's doggy bed and she wasn't all that happy about it. She kept trying to nibble Annie's paws and give her kisses until Annie just went and tried to hide elsewhere.Yay! Annie finally found a place where no Jinx or Nixie can bother her with their shenanigans and tom foolery! She's all safe and sound by herself...Oh, crap. Those two again. Is no place safe??Most of the night these two looked like this. Just a pile of fur. I have a ton of photos like this and one video. Heh.She's a very sweet little dog who growled and grumped at me all through dinner because I wasn't looking at her. Ha ha! I thought she was growling at me to be mean, but whenever I would look at her her tail would wag and then I'd look away and eat some more and I got told off! "Grwoowowowowoow wuff!" Heh.So these photos are really for my Mum who was upset I didn't have my camera with me the first time Jinx and Nixie met up since that was so fun to watch. :) Also every time the two have met, Shawn's cousin has been out of town (hence his parents watching the dog) and so she never really got to see them play either. It's great to watch, Jinx flops Nixie over and nibbles her ears and then Nixie stands up and Jinx flops himself over and lets her walk all over him (what a man I have!). Nixie stands UNDER Jinx and bites his feet and to get back, Jinx flips Nixie's ears over and licks the insides of them. She doesn't like that. Ha!Neither of them have an aggressive bone in their body and neither submits more to the other, they are very equal and Jinx is very gentle with her it's amazing to watch how they interact. Jinx is aware of how much smaller Nixie is and is very careful to not crush her. :) She is almost as long as he is, it's weird looking at her.
