Nellcott is my Darling

Nellcott Is My Darlinga novel by golda frieda novel by a former mcgill university student about a mcgill university student. it is actually a finalist for the 2005 governor general literary award, selected by the canada council for the arts. i found out about this book today at work while talking to a co-worker. i picked it up and instantly fell in love. so far i am enamoured by the writing, the main character (alice) and the flow of the story.i plan to read it all through the night and i'll most likely finish it (if i don't fall asleep, i am exhausted). for some reason i am in an artsy-literaturey type reading mode. maybe my next book will be the regular fluff that i am used to. heh.[UPDATE: I finished the book in about 2.5 hours last night. It was REALLY good. Only now I am out of book again. Darn. Must hit !ndigo at lunch...]
