i noticed that the month of august archives didn't have nearly enough dog photos. aside from the one i took of poor jinx watching the kitty porn and then the one of annie and jinx plotting to take over the world, i have no new photos! gasp! horror! i offer you all my humble apologies!

now without further ado...

here we have jinx at 5 3/4 months in the back yard. he's busy hunting bugs. he really likes bugs, they taste good apparently. he's also really great at finding worms. i have never met a dog who could hunt worms as well as a bird.

he also likes to lie in the sun... for about 3 seconds, then he's off trying to eat everything in the yard again...

you never know what might be food, right? so jinx has to check out all possibilities. i just noticed that there is only one gardening glove there... crap. i wonder where my other one went? damn, now i have to go look for it.

annie, of course, is a little less of an out-doors sort of dog. well, in the summer anyhow. especially if you combine puppy & sun. here she is trying to climb on my lap because the puppy wanted to play with her...

isn't she the best? such a brave lappie she is! i am so ashamed. heh. she's SEVEN for crying out loud!! she should not be terrified of a puppy! albeit he does still jump and lie on her head, and that would piss me off too. but she can stand up for herself. adult dogs always nip at puppies who bug them. annie had two litters of puppies, people. she should KNOW these things.

here is annie waiting to get back inside. we were all sitting out there but there was a two to one vote to come back inside as it was too hot! (me & annie against jinx the grass eater).

look how big our junxie is getting! he's almost as tall as annie!

they were lined up a lot better right before i snapped this photo, of course. but you can see how much he's grown. right now jinx is all leg. we're waiting for the rest of him to grow!

i should hopefully have photos of tomorrow's family reunion... assuming it happens.. i hope that nic & leeza remembered to bring my phone number with them!
