Out of My Pocket #10
Due to my book buying addiction I started this feature on my blog where I post about the book(s) I bought that week. Not something I plan on having every week – though it seems to be turning out that way. So here’s what I bought this week!

Dead Until Darkby Charlaine Harris
Sookie Stackhouse is just a small-time cocktail waitress in small-town Louisiana. Until the vampire of her dreams walks into her life-and one of her coworkers checks out.... Maybe having a vampire for a boyfriend isn't such a bright idea.
I'm sure you all know about these books by now - especially since everyone seems to be hooked on the HBO series, True Blood (which I have yet to see). I didn't exactly get the book because everyone is talking about it, I have been waffling over the series for a few years now and finally decided (since I have seen reviews) that I would try it. Imagine my HORROR when I couldn't get the orginal covered book in the store since they started the TV show. So I had my bookstore friend specialorder this cover for me. Heh.
Living Dead in Dallasby Charlaine Harris
When a vampire asks Sookie Stackhouse to use her telepathic skills to find another missing vampire, she agrees under one condition: the bloodsuckers must promise to let the humans go unharmed.Easier said than done.
I wasn't going to get this one, too. However when I went into the store I see they have turned book two into a tv tie-in as well! ARGH! I hate that! I love the quirkiness of the cover art and I don't want real people on my covers! So I bought this one. Here's hoping I even LIKE this series, or I am stuck with two books I don't care about (Helloooo, bookmooch!). Faefeverby Karen Marie Moning
He calls me his Queen of the Night. I’d die for him. I’d kill for him, too. When MacKayla Lane receives a torn page from her dead sister’s journal, she is stunned by Alina’s desperate words. And now MacKayla knows that her sister’s killer is close. But evil is closer. And suddenly the sidhe-seer is on the hunt: For answers. For revenge. And for an ancient book of dark magic so evil, it corrupts anyone who touches it. Mac’s quest for the Sinsar Dubh takes her into the mean, shape-shifting streets of Dublin, with a suspicious cop on her tail. Forced into a dangerous triangle of alliance with V’lane, an insatiable Fae prince of lethally erotic tastes, and Jericho Barrons, a man of primal desires and untold secrets, Mac is soon locked in a battle for her body, mind, and soul.
How exciting! I went into the store to pick up my specialorder and this book was all over the new release wall! Great timing, too as I just finished Bloodfever (review coming soon!). I am hooked on this series!
