Out of My Pocket #7
Due to my book buying addiction I started this feature on my blog where I post about the book(s) I bought that week. Not something I plan on having every week – though it seems to be turning out that way. So here’s what I bought this week!
Previous OoMP posts can be found here!
Two books I saw on blogs during last week's In My Mailbox visiting really stuck in my mind. So, I went out and bought them on Monday. I know. Bad me.
If You Live Like Meby Lori Weber
Before her plane even touches down in Newfoundland, Cheryl is already plotting her escape. She knows life on this rock will be no better than it was in the other places she's been forced to live ever since her parents launched their cross-Canada tour. The unwilling spectator of her father's morbid fascination with "dying cultures," Cheryl has seen more than her fair share of towns so depressing they could haunt your dreams. His decision to study the defunct fishing industry in St. John's is Cheryl's breaking point – this city girl is more determined than ever to get back to the concrete, the buzz, and the bright lights of Montreal. Will Cheryl's cold, goth exterior and her refusal to embrace a new life cut her off from those who love her? (amazon.ca)
Cool thing about this book? The author is from Montreal! I am always excited when I find interesting Canadian literature. I am extra excited when the author is from the same place I am. (Even if I always say I hate it here!)
Red-Headed Stepchildby Jaye Wells

This time, it's personal. (amazon.ca)
This is one that caught my eye a few weeks ago on someone's blog and then I saw it resurface last weekend during IMM and I really had to get it. I know I have, like, 4 or 5 other books going right now and I should finish them but you know when you're just not in the right head-space for something? I think I was craving some urban fantasy. So far I am enjoying this. I hope to finish it this weekend. The first is YA and the second is not. Just in case anyone was wondering. ;)And happily I got books in the mail, too! So I'll be playing in the IMM sandbox tomorrow as well!
