Thank you Megan Kelley Hall!!
As you might notice in the photo on the left, I happen to be holding a copy of Sisters of Misery. You might recall my blogging only a week ago about the misery I had in finding Sisters of Misery anywhere in Canada. And yet, here I am holding a copy in this very photo taken this evening.Well! The very kind and generous author Megan Kelley Hall had stopped by my blog as I was writing up the misery post and left me a comment, to which I replied to her via email - I CAN'T FIND THIS BLOODY BOOK! to which SHE replied that it might take longer in Canada due to it being a smaller publisher. She made me a deal - she would send me a book if I bugged my Canadian bookstores to order this book. Well, I have checked with a couple of stores and no one seems to have it on order - yet! Sigh. It's still a 5 to 8 week delivery on Amazon.ca, though Indigo.ca seems to have it in stock to ship, though none of the actual stores have it in stock. I'm trying though. I have friends who are managers at these stores and though buying decisions are all done by the Mother Ship, they can always keep an eye out for the books to make it to the shelves for me.So today when we pulled into the driveway I saw a bubble envelope in the mail and it was this book! Woohoo! Actually my exact words when we pulled into the driveway were "Free book! Yay!" to which my husband rolled his eyes and said "What IS it with you and the free books?" (because many of the review copies I will be, well, reviewing shortly, have come in over the span of the last 5 days. Heh.)However I have been eagerly anticipating the arrival of Sisters of Misery because of all the haunting of me it has done in the last month. So thank you very much Megan for this wonderful gift! I can't wait to read it!@@@@@@@In the COMING SOON category... I have reviews in the works for the following: Ms. Hempel Chronicles, Garden Spells, Moonstone, Gale Force and Wake. All of which I have just recently read but not had time to finish the reviews (3 are in draft mode right now about half complete!)
