I recruited the help of Jinx Puppy, Contest Helper-Outer yet again to help me pick the winner of my giveaway. Some of you might recall how helpful he was last year when I held my first contest. Well, the sun wasn't shining as much, and we'd just finished playing a fun game of "Oh, boy! The HOSE!" so he's a little soggy. But Jinx was a help all the same.(Click the photos to enlarge them.)

So here is Jinx and my lovely, hard cover copy of The Devouring. If I thought I found this book too scary, well, I wasn't prepared for the terror it would instill in my dog. We did the drawing first and all those bits of paper were nothing to him. I try to stand the book up a FOOT away from him to snap a photo? He moves. So I move. He moves again, so I move again (just like that!). He lies down when I ask him too, and I start to put the book down - he leaves the deck and hides in the grass! Meanwhile, my husband is cracking up from inside the house as he's watching this all unfold. Jinx is very lucky he's so cute. Anyhow, I managed to snap this one and the only reason he's distracted and happy looking, is because I yelled out "TREAT?" before I snapped the photo. I am evil, I know.

But you don't care about this - you care about who won!
