The Outlaw Demon has FINALLY arrived! (UPDATED with review)

The Outlaw Demon Wails (Rachel Morgan, #6)by Kim HarrisonGuess what was in my mailbox when I came home from work last night? Wheeee! I of course started reading it straight away! (Dinner had to cook in the oven, so I had time!) and then I read some more before bed and today - today! - today I am home sick with an awful cold (first one since April 2007!) and that's just what this girl needs - curl up on the couch in my jammies, some tea, a blanket and dogs at my feet and READ THIS BOOK!And that's just what this girl is going to do.I am currently about 7 chapters in and loving it! I love the demons in this series. They are so charming and amusing. I'm a sure if I ever met on in real life however I wouldn't be quite so smitten. ;)Off I go to read, read, read! I am so happy Chapigo finally released my book!HappyCat Update/Review:Please allow me this one little empty-headed immature outburst...OhmigawdOhmigawdOhmigawdOhmigawdOhmigawdOhmigawdOhmigawd!! This book was super fantastic amazing!! OHMYGOD!*ahem*So I liked it. A lot. Kim Harrison has done it again and this time I think she's gone and out done all she's done before! (Pardon me, I am obviously still quite twitterpated by this book.) This book in the Rachel Morgan series outshines many of the preceeding books in my opinion. It had everything that I loved, Rachel, Jenks, Trent, Quen, and Demons! I LOVE the Demons in the world that Kim Harrison has created. I just adore them! Minias and Al are two of my favourite characters of all time.Rachel Morgan is at her best (and worst) in this book. I refuse to give anything away because it would just ruin the story for many people who like to go unspoiled. But there were twists and turns in this book that took me by complete surprise and I loved every second of it. I had never been happier to be home sick I don't think. I was able to gobble the book up in a matter of hours. The writing was superb. The character interaction was stellar. The humour had me laughing out loud at times (which was more like a pathetic sounding choke as I had no voice most of the week. I sounded like a dying goat!). The action and suspense were just riveting. It's been a long time since I have enjoyed a book to the depth of which I enjoyed The Outlaw Demon Wails. It was worth the wait AND the hostage situation with the online bookstore. It was worth every penny of the hard cover price and not waiting until the mass market edition was published (even though it now does not match the rest of my series...).This is one of Kim Harrison's finest works. (In my opinion, of course!)Oh! And the woman on the cover even has a head!!The Rachel Morgan/The Hollows series
