Trying to Remember a Series of Books from the 80's

HappyCat Update:: I found them! At least I happened to have found a blog that lists the series and the authors and I have confirmed that I didn't just make this all up in my head! Now to try and collect these books! Thanks to Cliquey Pizza 2: more 80's teen book series & pop culture for posting this!Ok readers, I am in need of your help once more. If you were born after 1990 you likely will have no clue what I am talking about. Also, if you were born after 1990, please don't tell me because I will suddenly feel VERY old.So, around 1988 or so, maybe as early as 1986-ish, I discovered this series of books in my elementary school library, and the public library near home (when it used to have English books) and I loved it. It wasn't a story series, exactly, it was more a, um, I don't know how to explain it. A collection? Different stories by different authors, but all under one common name. Each book was part mystery-thriller, part romance. There was always some young girl sent off somewhere and something scary would happen and she would fall in love. You know, like that.I think it was called something like Windswept.I remember one particular book was about this teen girl who had to go stay with her old relative (grandmother? aunt?) in some spooky house on a cliff near the ocean. She arrives by taxi in the rain and things get scary and yet she meets some boy and falls in love. And then summer is over and everyone goes back to school. The end.But I can't recall the title of the book and I know it was in this series.I know I didn't care about all the titles in this collection, I only ever gravitated toward certain ones and even though I kept these ones treasured in a bottom drawer of my dresser (where I kept all my favourite books and comics) they sadly went out to a church bazaar by mistake after I moved out.So I am left searching used book stores and bookmooch and the like, for these books. But I don't remember what they are called or even what I am looking for exactly! I doubt my old elementary school even has these books anymore, my guess is they are out of print and too "out of touch with today's youth".So if anyone out there knows what I am talking about... please help!
