Urban Shamanby C.E. MurphyShawn actually picked this book up off the shelf and showed it to me. I wasn't so keen on starting it, but I was out of things to read and the last thing I read really wasn't all that great.But I tried it and I have to say I love the witty writing and the main character and the other characters... and just... I love it. I really hope that C.E. Murphy writes more books with these characters, I can see how it could evolve and become a regular series. I think it would even been cool as a movie or TV series.Joanne is a mechanic for the cops, and in fact a cop, but she tends to ignore that part. All of a sudden, on a flight back from her mother's funeral in Ireland, her life takes a little bit of a supernatural turn. I find it a little difficult to accept everyone's acceptance of what's going on in Seattle... but I'm too busy giggling at the witty banter to care.This is a very different and refreshingly amusing and interesting story.
