In My Mailbox #4

Kristi, The Story Siren, started this nifty weekly thing about the books she’s received in her mailbox for that week. I don't have as much luck with the Book Gods, but every so often I get to play along. This week's mailbox loot is courtesy of Bookmooch and I am ever so excited to have the books back in my life!Linda A. Cooney's Class of '89 - Junior and Senior! I used to have this series as well as the Class of '88 series when I was 12-13 years old. I always loved that the Class of '88 was just like me! Only my class of '88 was from elementary school, not high school. But still, I felt like we had a connection that series and I.I have been searching for this series for the last few years when a strong wave of nostalgia hit me. So far I have only been successful in finding these two books - which of course are the last 2 in the 4-book series. I now need to find Freshman and Sophomore and all 4 of the Class of '88 books. I will though. I'll keep searching the random used-book store I come across (which isn't much where I live, not ones with English books anyhow) and I will continue to search online and hope that more people on Bookmooch will add these to their moochible inventory (and send to Canada!)I always found following the lives of American high school kids to be fascinating since the high school system here is completely different - even from the rest of Canada. We don't have the Freshman to Senior titles. We have 5 years of high school labeled "Secondary I to V". We also don't graduate at 18, but at 17 and then have to complete two (or 3 depending on program) years of a college-type educational experience before being allowed into University. So we graduate high school younger, but start University a year older than the rest. Strange, I know. Not that any of that matters to this post. The point is, I got two book this week and I don't think Kristi got any. Neener neener! Ha ha! Just kidding!!
