iron man

I went to see this movie thinking I wouldn't enjoy it all that much, but I owe Shawn for dragging him to things like Spiderwick... To be honest I never gave two whits about Iron Man in the comics. He wasn't a cool, awesome girl superhero and not really a major characters in the occasional comic I would pick up at the second hand store.And I am not exactly a fan of Robert Downey Jr.However I loved everything about this move. I think that RD jr did a great job in the role and the script was well written and directed. It was funny, action packed, and unlike the Fantastic 4, it actually made the build up to the creation of the superhero interesting. (Fantastic 4 felt like 45 mins of boring and 15 mins of action and plot).I didn't know the history of Iron Man, nor anything about the character actually. I knew the guy's name is Tony Stark, but that was about it.I am very much looking forward to the Avengers movie when it comes out... 2009? 2010? Especially if they keep Robert Downey Jr in the role of Iron Man/Tony Stark.I think this was my Transformers for the summer. I have already told Shawn we'll be buying it when it comes out on DVD in the Fall. :)
