Library finds

Since I gave up on I Have a Bed Made of Buttermilk Pancakes (which I will revisit!) and Once Upon a Spring Morn (not so sure on that one), I was desperate for books. Sure, my first review copy from Mini Book Expo arrived in the mail on Monday, but that doesn't leave me any back-up in case I finish it fast, or don't like it and need to take a break. (So far? It's just ODD!)When the husband came home from work last night and we sat around and talked about how miserable we both were (we know how to live it up, yo!) I decided I needed to get to the library. I was online in the afternoon (since I still wasn't sleeping) and checking in on books that I wanted that have been out continuously (argh!). I was happy to see that Garden Spells was finally back in - I think what saved me there was that it is a new release and non-renewable. The other books I was hoping for have all been renewed and now I have to wait until September. Darn. I could put holds on them, but do I really want to spend $0.35 to hold a book? I don't know. I might though, because I really want An Abundance of Katherines and Thirteen Reasons Why.But I had to accept coming home with two different books with the number thirteen in them. I would have been happy if I was able to get three books with thirteen in the titles at one time. I am odd like that. I love thirteen. Since the photo is slightly shiny (no flash, just glare of sunset and clouds) I shall let you know what I got!

My library doesn't have the best selection, I'll admit, and I think I'll always have to fight to get the books I want since they have one copy of each and the English population will always been fighting to get the newest books at the same time, but so far I have been happy with that I have been getting. I can take up to 10 books out at a time, but so far this is the most I have taken (five).  I have gone back about once a week since I started though. And the good thing about the library? If I don't feel like reading the book, I can always take it  back and try it again another time. I don't have to worry about having spent money on a book I don't like. (*ahem* Once Upon a Spring Morn *ahem*)I just wish this library wasn't so loud. It's the loudest library I have even been in! I don't get it. Who brings their children to a library and lets them run wild? Is nothing sacred anymore??
